🤔 Finding or Building Specialist Disability Accommodation for those with already approved SDA funding in the NDIS Plan. 

🔍This workshop is for participants, families and their allies who already have Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding approved in their NDIS plan and are ready to take the next steps. 
💡 You might be thinking about finding an SDA home to move into, or building one yourself. Either way, this resource kit will walk you through the practical decisions and processes involved. We do have a focus on the opportunity to build your own home. 
💪 This is your plain-language, step-by-step guide to making the most of your SDA funding.

🧍 This workshop is for people who already have SDA funding in their plan and their families and supporters. 
❓ You may not know what to do with your SDA funding yet. 
📘 This Resource Kit helps you understand what steps to take next.

  • 🛠️ You will get tools on how to choose to build, buy, rent or renovate a home.

  • 🏷️ You will get ideas on how to pick the right providers to help.
  • 🔗 We will share where to get more support and trusted information.
👋 You do not have to come to our live workshop (you can watch the recording after) but we would love to see you and explain things in our straightforward way.

💻 It is online, so you can watch on your computer, tablet, or phone.

💵 How Much Does It Cost?

💲 The workshop costs $168.90.
📧 You will get a personal standard invoice by email after you book.
💳 You pay the invoice straight away (this will hold your spot) or
📤 You can send the invoice to your plan manager to pay if you are plan managed.
✅ You can usually claim this cost on your NDIS plan.
🔹 When you book, you can pick the right line item for your invoice.
🔹 This helps your plan manager claim it from the right category.
🔎 You can check with your plan manager before you book.
🗑️ Look in your junk mail if you do not see the invoice.
⏰ If you book late, use a credit card straight away to make sure you don't miss out.
🚫 Your place is not guaranteed until we receive your payment.

🎥 What Will You Get?

📄 You will get the resource kit with a copy of the slides and a checklist and/or workbook of important information.
🎞️ You will get a video link a few days after the session so you can watch it again, or in case you missed the live session. It will be available to watch for two months.
🗣️ You will get a link to the auto-transcription for the session.

  • 🤝 Advises government and helps improve disability on the NDIS IAC (Independent Advisory Council).
  • ✍️ Writes and speaks about the NDIS in plain language.
  • 👪 Learned the most from her two sons and many friends and advocates with disability.
